The Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Luncheon is an opportunity for community members to come together, share knowledge, and develop strategies to support victims/survivors.
This year’s event will feature a panel to discuss the topic of coercive control.

Hector R. Matascastillo, MSW, LICSW
Executive Director at ASC Psychological Services
He is currently a Doctoral Candidate in clinical psychology with a specialty in forensic psychology. Hector is the mental health consultant and crisis negotiator for the Minneapolis Police Department SWAT Crisis Negotiation Team. As a multilingual/multicultural therapist, Hector works with domestic abuse from the micro to the macro level.
Shannon Goecke-Watson, PsyD, LP
Owner, SGW Psychological Services LLC
Runs an independent private practice located in Apple Valley, Minnesota, focused on treating the aftereffects of domestic violence. Prior to entering the mental health field, Dr. Goecke-Watson worked as an advocate at the 360 Communities Lewis House. She is a professional trainer for mental health professionals, lawyers, and domestic violence shelter advocates.
Brittany Puckett, BSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P
Senior Staff Nurse, Hennepin Assault Response Team (HART) at Hennepin Healthcare
Since 2015, has seen over 550 patients, and is certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for both Pediatrics and Adult/Adolescents. As a forensic nurse, Brittany provides acute exams for sexual assault, interpersonal violence, and sexual exploitation/trafficking victims/survivors.
Violence Free Minnesota
Violence Free Minnesota (VFMN) is the state coalition to end relationship abuse. VFMN was founded in 1978 and currently has over 90 member programs across the state. Focus areas of the coalition include: public policy, economic justice, youth and prevention, equity, and capacity. VFMN is also the only organization that tracks and documents domestic violence related homicide in the state of Minnesota, and they have been doing so for over 30 years. https://www.vfmn.org
